The Triquetra is an ancient symbol that is made up of three vesica piscis that are interlocked in an eternal arch. They are sometimes surrounded by a circle which represents unity. It can also stand for mind, body, and spirit.

It represents the three cycles of life, death, and reincarnation. In nature, it represents the elements of earth, water, and air. The three vesica piscis symbolize female fertility. It also represents the Triple Goddess: Maiden, Mother, Crone. The Maiden represents the stage of innocents, the Mother represents creation, and the Crone represents wisdom.

In Latin, Triquetra means “three-cornered.”
